WnA: Brother Sketching

I did say I would be doing some sketches for these two on the first post. Only took like a month later to think up some stuff. Though, this is what happens when I’m given time to think and chat with Storm.

So, let’s delve into this AU a bit more shall we?

While it mirrors Phineas and Ferb in humor, it’s it own world. The Higgsbury brothers are growing up together in a quaint little area known as the Tri-Shadow-City area, a city that just so happens to be located in the Shadow World. That’s right, they’re growing up in that place. Though it’s not like how it is in the original canon. The place has become more human friendly, albeit still dangerous since there are still monsters to worry about and the shadows beings still wander around. However, Maxwell isn’t out to get anyone. He’s just the king of the area with his beautiful queen Scarlet. Why this is I will tell later.

But if there is one thing Maxwell can’t stand, it’s these two. Wilson and Albert take a bit of pleasure in pranking him. Harmless pranks of course. Water balloons, fashion melons to the head, etc. (Basically, he’s the cranky guy that says, “Get off my lawn!”) The other thing that gets on Maxwell’s nerves is Woodie the Were beaver who more or less keeps him from getting bored. It’s just a bother when the boys catch him throwing the beaver out of the castle without even knowing he’s an agent. (Just like Phineas and Ferb, Wilson and Albert are completely oblivious to the fact their pet is a secret agent.)

So yeah, these two go on all sorts of adventures, making the most of the day be it venturing into the lands outside the city, or just driving Maxwell insane. However, not everything is all sunshine and rainbows.

While the world is more human friendly, it still isn’t 100% safe. Albert and Wilson got into on incident while traveling outside that didn’t end too well. They were about 5-6 years of age when they were wandering around outside and well… got caught in the dark. Shadow monsters attacked, Albert covered Wilson and the poor kid got cursed.They were able to mostly cure him, but the kid struggles with really bright sunny days and does need to wear a hat to keep the light off his eyes. Not everyday, but those really hot summer days, he needs it. Full moons, he takes on full grue form and can’t sleep at all and can’t go outside. The Higgsbury family doesn’t have anyone over just so he doesn’t wind up hurting anyone. Albert doesn’t like it all that much, but Wilson does what he can to cheer him up. Stays up with him all night as best as he can and tries to take his mind off it. (Mom and Dad help too, but Wilson is pretty insistent on being the one to keep him company.) (”I’m his older brother. It’s my job.”)

And that’s it for this set. Storm and I plan to delve further, just need time. I was glad I was able to even draw this since I’ve been in a bit of a slump this week.So yeah, just these two being brotherly. Stay tuned for more.
