Resolve

All I need is the horizon! Courage to keep trying! Awakened I... Feel so ALIVE!

Originally I drew this themed to Still I Fly... but the lyrics from Nothing Can Stop Me Now kind of fitted better here. Still I Fly is good for saying I'm moving on. Nothing Can Stop Me Now... is more of well as it even says "I've found a dream worth fighting for." So it worked.

Why did I pair these two up for the same picture? Well... they have a bit in common. 

- Both started as underdogs. (Dusty being a rookie in racing and fire fighting and Derek being an intern.)
- Both have hearts of gold.
- They care more about others than themselves.
- They both wanted to make a change in the world.
- Both have gone through loss/hardship (Dusty with his out of commission gear box and Derek with losing Emilio.)

Biggest thing for here is the resolve both came to in their stories. Dusty's resolve to want to give it his all in firefighting including sacrificing himself, and Derek regaining the confidence he had to why he became a doctor in order to save Angie's father. In a sense in accordance to the song, they were reawakened and they were made stronger with all they had been through, hence the whole why Still I Fly was the song I was drawing to before I chose this one for the text.

And.. that's about it. I'm just gonna let the picture speak for itself. 

It's fun when you can cross two things you love together for a piece.
