Yeah felt like I should redo their outfits. After reading a bit of Sherlock Bones and some other stuff I didn't find their older designs very pleasing. -> aileen-rose.deviantart.com/art…
Come a bit of ways since July. New tricks and such. Plus better anatomy. Also I feel like these guys are pretty much their own now. I was heavily inspired by the Guy Ritchie movies when I first started drawing these guys since that was the fandom I was in. (Erm... Sort of. I was never really a part of the Guy Ritchie Movie fandom, I just drew art for it here and there and it wasn't a focus of mine, it still isn't.) Then I started writing them into my Omni-Universe time line because I thought it would be fun for them to exist in it, and at that point I decided to break canon and just start from scratch, and Illogical was born. So yeah... These guys finally just have their own look. (In all honesty I could never nail RDJ Holmes. I've ranted so many times about his hair... Just can't seem to do it no matter how many times I try.) New outfits to boot as well.
I still want to say every Sherlock interpretation I have watched and read have all been inspiring for me. I feel like listing them out of respect.
Listed in order of what I saw/read first:
(Movie) The Great Mouse Detective (Yes I'm counting this one. Basil and Dawson are basically the duo as mice.)
(TV Series) Elementary
(Movie) Guy Ritchie Movies (Sherlock Holmes and Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows)
(TV Series) BBC Sherlock
(Movie) Young Sherlock Holmes
(Book) Sherlock Holmes Original Book Series
(Graphic Novel) Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Scarlet
(Manga) Sherlock Bones
I'm pretty sure that's all of them. Anyways that is all for now. I will be getting back to this series soon. I just have to wait for my editor to finish editing A Dead Man's Tale then we'll get on with the show.
